I put in lots of effort to make sure that my students understand the core concepts of any subject, because I believe that this leads to the ability to apply knowledge and learn new things. I also focus on helping students understand why the concepts we learn are important and how they are used in the real world. I give students test taking techniques and other learning skills they can use to be successful now and in the long run. It's very gratifying to help my students succeed. Outside of academics, I like golf, mystery books, movies, and traveling.
